Alexandria tax officials seize 100 million pounds of land

The Public Prosecution in Alexandria is investigating the fact that officials of the tax office in the governorate seized an 18-feddan plot of land worth 100 million pounds, in the Abyss area, owned by Banque Misr, with forged documents.
Investigations of the Public Funds Investigation confirmed that tax officials exploited their jobs and accordingly seized the aforementioned plot of land, allegedly for fulfilling a debt owed to the tax authority amounting to 32 million pounds despite their knowledge that it was within the property of the debtor, "Zainhum", which was seized with the knowledge of the Socialist Public Prosecutor in Resolution No. 123 of the year 1983.
Investigations revealed that during the year 1994 the land was disposed of by selling to pay the debts owed by it, including a debt owed to the Tax Office, which confirms their knowledge that the plot of land devolved its ownership to Banque Misr, but they took advantage of the negligence of the bank officials, and the failure to document the contract and the transfer of ownership, and they seized and put it forward To sell by auction without any right.
The investigations added that the defendants continued the sale procedures and facilitated the appropriation of parts of that land by others, in exchange for material benefits and profits from the work of the job.Portal News
