The Administrative Control Authority managed to arrest the deputy head of the New Cairo City Authority, for obtaining material gifts and sums of money as a bribe from the owner of an import and export company, in exchange for implementing the decision to hand over three plots of land in the Fifth Settlement.

The Administrative Control Authority stated, in its statement, that the necessary record had been drawn up, and the accused was being brought before the Public Prosecution to undertake the investigation.

The Administrative Control Authority rose during the last period to confront the lagging financial and administrative corruption in the country, until its public title among citizens as “the first protector of the money of the Egyptian people” from the corrupt, after the successive strikes that the supervision directed at the lords of corruption in Egypt, as it returned about 500 million pounds from People's money, in recent months.

The ACA’s moves came in light of the President’s directives that it is necessary to fully adhere to not presenting any exceptions, services, or benefit to any person or party by claiming contact or proximity to the President of the Republic or his office or any body affiliated with the Presidency of the Republic, in compliance with the principles of transparency and integrity and consolidating the principle of equality between citizens In rights and duties.
