An urgent communication accuses the governor of Alexandria and the Minister of Local Development of wasting public money

Dr. Samir Sabry, the lawyer, submitted an urgent report to the Public Prosecutor and the Supreme Public Funds Prosecution, in which he accused Ahmed Zaki Badr, Minister of Local Development, and Mohamed Abdel Zahir, Governor of Alexandria, of wasting public money.
The report stated that the Governor of Alexandria, Muhammad Abdel Zahir, accused Badr of wasting public money for agreeing to an investor acquiring a plot of land next to "Carrefour", under the pretext that it is a land belonging to the endowments, and in fact it belongs to the governorate, which wastes one billion pounds of the land's value Governorate.
"Abd al-Zahir" explained during his interview that "the lands of Alexandria Governorate were stolen, and if they were regained, Egypt would become the richest country in the world, and he pledged to restore the lands of the stolen state if he continued in the position of governor." He pointed out that he had met with the Legal Affairs Committee to discuss the visa of the Minister of Local Development, and was surprised by her defending the investor, but he refused to implement the visa.
For his part, the Minister of Local Development issued a decision to dismiss the governorate’s general secretary and the head of the Authority for the Protection of State Property, without referring to the governor.
The governor emphasized that this decision is contrary to Article 39 of the Local Administration Law, which stipulates that these decisions will be issued by the minister, with the agreement and approval of the governor, and this has not happened.
Among the thorny files between the governor of Alexandria and the Minister of Local Development, the file of the violating building, which finally set off a heated struggle between them, as the latter refused to implement the Prime Minister’s decision to introduce the facilities and code meters into the violating housing units.
The Minister of Local Development also intervened in the conflict between the governor and the investors of the "International Garden" in Alexandria. The minister suspended the implementation of the governor’s decision regarding the collection of the estimated rental value for the investors of the International Park, which is estimated at 430 million pounds, after the committee formed by the governor’s decision set a value An estimate of the lands leased from the governorate for the benefit of the investors of the International Garden retroactively at that value, which angered the investors and filed a grievance with the Ministers of Local Development and Investment, and the implementation of the governor's decision was suspended.
The communiqué indicated that, faced with these mutual accusations of wasting public money, which are among the most serious crimes of corruption, they must be investigated promptly so that the matter becomes clear to the citizens with full transparency.
