Imprisonment of the vice president of an electricity company and 3 others on charges of bribery

The South Cairo Prosecutor's Office ordered the imprisonment of the vice president of the South Cairo Electricity Distribution Company, the owner of a commercial mall, and 2 others, for 15 days pending investigations, for accusing them of receiving a bribe of one million pounds in exchange for electricity delivery to a mall in violation of the law in Cairo.

Investigations indicated that the defendant, vice president of the Electricity Company, requested a financial bribe of one million pounds to agree to deliver electricity to the shop, while the accused denied in the investigations the accusations attributed, while the intermediaries admitted in the investigations in agreement with the first accused and the owner of the mall to take an amount of one million pounds as a bribe.

Information received by Administrative Control stated that the Vice President of the South Cairo Electricity Company requested a financial bribe from a mall owner in return for completing the procedures for connecting electricity, and showing the validity of the information.Vito
