Dr. Ahmed Emad El-Din, Minister of Health - in an attempt to absolve him of any responsibility - stated that he who reported his advisor for the affairs of the Specialized Medical Centers Secretariat, who was arrested the day before yesterday, committing a financial bribe from one of the medical devices and supplies companies at the headquarters of the Ministry of Health General Office While informed sources said that an official at the Administrative Control Authority informed the minister of taking an “important measure” inside the ministry’s office within an hour of contact, and did not inform him of the step of seizing his advisor.
A control source revealed that the arrest of “Aziz,” the advisor to the Minister of Health, came after he was caught red-handed, taking 8 checks as a bribe, totaling 4.5 million pounds from a hospital supply company, inside the Ministry of Health’s general office.
The source added that the commission’s officers discussed the accused, broke the seized records with him, and confronted him with the audio and video recordings of the incident in preparation for taking the necessary legal measures and referring him to the prosecution for investigation.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Emad El Din Rady, Minister of Health and Population, confirmed that he stood with all strength against all forms of corruption, since he assumed the position of Minister of Health and Population, pointing out that he does not cover up a corrupt person, even if he is a leader of the ministry and whatever his position.
He pointed out that the incident of arresting his advisor for the Specialized Medical Centers Secretariat in the act of receiving a bribe is one of the corruption rings that was eliminated in cooperation with the state’s supervisory agencies.
Dr. Ahmed Emad praised the vigilance of the administrative control men and their keen interest in the interest of the homeland and the citizen by uncovering this kind of corruption case.
