Imprisonment of 9 employees at the entrance gate to the New Valley Governorate on charges of embezzlement of 2 million pounds

The Outside Public Prosecution Office in the New Valley, headed by Counselor Muhammad Mustafa Hamdan, Director of the Public Prosecution Office, issued a decision to imprison 9 employees of the General Office of the New Valley Governorate for 15 days pending investigations, in the report No. 329 of 2016, the Kharga Administration, on charges of forgery of official documents, embezzlement, intentional damage to public money and forgery of documents Official, following the complaint received by the prosecution from the Administrative Control Authority regarding the result of examining the work of those responsible for the weight collection point at the main gate of the governorate, which resulted in violations and embezzlement of more than 2 million pounds.

A memorandum was received by the Public Prosecution from the Administrative Control regarding examining the work of the employees of the Services and Development Fund in the governorate and those responsible for the point of collection of weights fees at the governorate gate, during which it was stated “that, based on the decision of the Governor of the New Valley No. 285 of 2010, to collect one pound for every ton of iron oxide or phosphate issued outside The governorate where cars are loaded with phosphate ore from (Abu Tartour Phosphate Company) and are weighed at the exit from the company’s gates.
