Investigation of a report accusing two workers of “teaching Alexandria” of wasting public money

The Public Funds Prosecution in Alexandria headed by Counselor Sherif Soufar, Chief Prosecutor, is investigating the reports submitted by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education against suppliers, contractors and some employees of the directorate for accusing them of wasting public money by tampering with documents and the presence of violations in the school feeding sector.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry stated that the control and follow-up bodies in the Directorate of Education, in coordination with the Administrative Control Authority, had formed secret committees, to examine the violations of the school feeding sector, and to ensure the presence of tampering by suppliers, contractors and some workers in the directorate, which ended with the validity of the violations and manipulation.

"Zikra" added that many complaints had been received against the Nutrition Department, in order to ensure the health of students, to achieve conformity of the product to standard specifications, and to make better use of the state's resources allocated to school feeding.

"Zikra" revealed that the violations are related to school feeding specifications and types in the supply of items and their numbers, as well as the failure to collect fines owed to the state, which is a blatant waste of public money, referring to those involved in a number of educational departments.Delegation
