The Administrative Prosecution decided to refer the first undersecretary of the Ministry of Health to trial, after it was proven that he committed gross financial and administrative violations, which resulted in wasting public money.
Investigations confirmed that “Syed Muhammad Shahid”, head of the financial and administrative affairs sector at the Secretariat of Specialized Medical Centers at the Ministry of Health, “First Deputy Minister,” did not perform the work assigned to him accurately, and violated financial rules and instructions, which would prejudice the financial interest of the state.
It was found that the accused issued a letter to the health affairs directorates in all governorates that there was no conflict between what was disbursed according to Law 14 of 2014 regarding the staff of doctors and the benefits paid from the Service Improvement Fund in accordance with the Hospital Employment Regulation No. 239 of 1997 - in violation of the Circular No. 22 issued On the authority of the Ministry of Finance to cancel all benefits established by any ministerial decisions issued in this regard.
The investigations ended with the defendant being referred to the Supreme Disciplinary Court, and the Administrative Prosecution asked the president of the court to determine the closest hearing to the case, and the court issued its advanced decision.
