Inviting young researchers to submit research papers

Announces Partners for Transparency (consultative status of the United Nations Economic and Social Council)

On receiving the works of young Egyptian researchers from research papers, policy papers and qualitative reports related to issues of transparency, integrity and anti-corruption, in accordance with the terms of reference and procedures described below.

It is expected that the Foundation will select and publish 5 research works per month, with no less than 30 research works during the period from July to December 2018, and the owners of the research works accepted by the Foundation and which will be published will receive a financial reward ranging from 1000 to 2500 EGP, according to an evaluation The jury, the volume of research work and its importance.

Please read the terms of reference carefully, and send the summary of the research work, then the complete research works after the approval of the abstract, to the following email addresses:

Note that the institution receives the summary of the works and the complete works continuously until November 2018, without being restricted to a specific number of works per researcher, and the only criterion is the approval of the jury to work according to the mechanism described in the terms of reference.

• Institutional reform to combat corruption
• Mechanisms to activate the role of regulatory agencies and agencies
• Developing legislation promoting transparency and integrity and combating corruption
• Sectoral assessment of the phenomenon of corruption in Egypt, and analysis of corruption phenomena in different sectors.
• Reforming the state’s administrative apparatus and developing the performance of government services to enhance transparency and integrity and curb corruption practices
• The role of victim society organizations in combating corruption
• Promote integrity, transparency and disclosure in charitable work institutions
• Analyzing public budgets, public spending and final accounts from an anti-corruption and transparency perspective
• Promote social accountability values and practices
• International obligations to combat corruption

Conditions that must be met in the research paper

1. Adherence to the rigorous scientific method and reliance on analysis of information.
2. To be a new addition to previous studies in his field.
3. - To be useful to society, and to present some scientific proposals and recommendations.
4. The paper should not have won any other contests or prizes, and that it has not been previously published through any means
5. It must be written in a proper Arabic language
6. Research work ranges from 2,500 to 5,000 words.

Actions and steps

• Review the terms of reference well
• Submit the paper to be published in Word format, and attach an executive summary of the paper on one page
• The paper is reviewed, amendments can be requested from the researcher, and then presented to the jury final
• The works that will be approved by the arbitration committee will be published in the name of the researcher under the framework of the institution, and its participation with the media, government agencies, civil society organizations and Parliament
• Round tables will be organized with legislative experts, officials and stakeholders to present and discuss some of the published work, and in this case the owner of the paper will present his research work himself.
• The financial reward will be disbursed within five working days of publishing the paper (for works that will be accepted and published only)
• Once it is published and the researcher obtains the financial reward, the paper becomes the property of the institution, and the researcher may not publish it elsewhere without formal approval from the institution.
