Partners for Transparency (PFT) released its fourth monthly report in the “Corruption Status Book series of reports”, which covers the period from (1-31) October 2015. Starting from July 1, 2015, the Foundation launched an observatory to track corruption incidents that are revealed through The relevant media, regulatory agencies and investigation authorities, as well as following up on the procedures of the state concerned with the case.
The report focused on monitoring and analyzing legislative and procedural developments related to combating corruption, as well as counting the facts that were reported by various media outlets during October 2015.
The month of October 2015 did not witness the issuance of new anti-corruption legislation or laws, but this month witnessed a number of meetings and meetings in some governorates and ministries to discuss the state’s plans to combat corruption, as well as the presence of various statements by government officials, headed by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, which included confirmation. On the need to combat corruption, linking it to development efforts and attracting various investments, he also witnessed the formation of an anti-corruption committee at the Ministry of Irrigation.
In October 2015, the monitoring process revealed 60 incidents of corruption in various state agencies, on top of which was the Ministry of Supply, which witnessed 14 incidents of corruption, after which the localities came in second place with 9 incidents of corruption, followed by the Ministry of Education with 5 incidents of corruption, followed by The Ministry of Housing has 4 incidents of corruption.
The monitoring process also revealed that the facts under investigation came first among the incidents of corruption during the month of October, with a total of 39, followed by the facts under trial with a total of 10 incidents. After that, the facts that have not yet been investigated come with a total of 7 incidents, and finally, the facts that have not been investigated come first. It was judged last among the incidents that took place in October, with only 4 incidents
