A legal study to reveal the transparency and credibility of charitable societies

Partners for Transparency Foundation (PFT) announced that it is currently planning to prepare a study on “Levels of Transparency, Disclosure and Accountability” at charitable organizations that rely mainly on individual donations. Charitable work and relief organizations operating in Egypt are required to disclose their financial materials and the sources of donations that She comes to her and also revealed her spending items.
For his part, Dr. Walaa Gad Al-Karim, General Director of Partners for Transparency, said in press statements today, Saturday: that the study will be conducted on a group of major charitable societies registered as non-governmental organizations and institutions in accordance with the provisions of Law 84 of 2002, which are known to benefit from a large percentage of Egyptian donations. By monitoring the methods that associations depend on in collecting donations and measuring the extent of internal oversight from general assemblies, boards of directors and foreign affairs through the Ministry of Solidarity and the concerned governmental agencies.
The director of the foundation explained that this study comes within the framework of Partners Foundation for Transparency’s interest in consolidating the values of transparency, accountability and integrity, and out of the Foundation’s keenness to continue and even increase the resources available for charitable and volunteer work in Egypt, and the importance of the contributions of these institutions in providing food, clothing, housing and health services to others.
