During the informal preparatory meeting for the 11th session of the Conference of States Parties to the Arms Trade Treaty, Partners for Transparency delivered an oral intervention on the lack of transparency and accountability in arms transfers that exacerbates armed conflicts in Africa, calling for the provision of necessary technical support to ensure the strengthening of national capacities of African countries facing challenges in reporting in this regard.
