Partners for Transparency Organization (PFT) issued its monthly report within the framework of the Corruption Status Book series, to monitor and follow up on corruption facts during the month of June 2016.
The organization’s report said that the month of June witnessed a television advertising campaign to raise awareness of the dangers of corruption.
The organization’s report stated that the Ministry of Supply had the largest share of corruption incidents during the month of June 2016, with a score of 15 corruption incidents out of a total of 83 incidents, followed by the Ministry of Agriculture with a score of 10 corruption incidents, then the localities came with 9 incidents of corruption, then the Ministry of Interior with a score of 7 Incidents, followed by the Ministry of Investment and Transport with 6 incidents, followed by the Ministry of Education, Communications, Information Technology and Health with 4 incidents of corruption for each of them.
Then comes the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Justice with 3 incidents of corruption for each of them, then comes the supervisory agencies, the Ministry of Housing and the businessmen sector with a score of 2 corruption incidents, and finally, the Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Endowments, the Presidency and Parliament And the Ministry of Culture by only one incident ranked last.
The organization's report indicated that the incidents under investigation come first among the corruption incidents, as it received the largest percentage of 67% out of a total of 83 incidents, followed by the incidents under trial with 17 %, then the incidents that were not investigated came with a score of 11 %, and finally came the incidents that were completed. Judging it ranked last by 5 % of total facts.
The organization’s report pointed out that Cairo governorate got the largest share of corruption incidents during June, due to the geographical distribution of 24 corruption incidents, followed by Giza governorate with 16 corruption incidents, followed by Qalyubia governorate with 7 incidents, then Alexandria governorate came with 6 incidents. Then came the governorates of Ismailia, Menoufia and Minya with 4 incidents of corruption for each of them, followed by the governorates of Beheira, Gharbia, Fayoum, Beni Suef, Sohag, Sharkia, and Wadi al-Jadid with a score of 2 incidents for each of them, and finally Assiut, North Sinai, Aswan and Qena each recorded one incident during June 2016.
