"Partners for Transparency": the purification of electoral lists will fail

Dr. Walaa Jad Al-Karim, President of Partners for Transparency, affirmed that from the legal point of view, he cannot prevent anyone from running in the elections to the House of Representatives, indicating that as long as a final and final court ruling has not been issued against him, he is deprived of exercising his political rights, because the constitution guaranteed Egyptians participation without An exception, pointing out that having a popular call to boycott the corrupt or the terrorists is important.

In a statement to Echo of the Country, Jad Al-Karim explained that the possibility of the success or failure of applying this call to “clear the lists” depends on the extent of civil society organizations to educate voters on how to choose candidates, and it is a fundamental role for them. Political parties also have to carry out this awareness.

He stated that the political parties on the ground are divided among themselves and have internal problems that did not agree on a common electoral list, and that the organizations are busy monitoring the elections and it is assumed that they are impartial. They will not involve themselves in calling against one party in favor of another. Therefore, this call will fail.
