Within the framework of the “Corruption Status Book” series, “Partners for Transparency” PFT issued the tenth report, which included monitoring and analysis of corruption incidents in the month of April 2016. Different.

The report revealed that the parliament’s role in developing or introducing anti-corruption legislation has not yet been demonstrated. Parliament has consumed the past months since its inception in approving its regulations, forming its internal committees, and discussing the government's statement, while the statements of officials, led by the President of the Republic, still contain clear indications to combat corruption.

With regard to the statistical distribution of corruption incidents among the various ministries and sectors, the Ministry of Supply received the largest share of corruption incidents during the month of April 2016, with a score of 13 corruption incidents out of a total of 95 incidents, followed by each of the Ministry of Interior, with 10 incidents, most of them involving police secretaries, then agriculture There are 10 facts, the most prominent of which is the verdict in the Ministry of Agriculture bribery case, in which the judge in charge of ruling criticized articles of the Penal Code that exempt the briber and the mediator from punishment.

As for the judicial position, the facts under investigation came first among corruption incidents during April 2016, where they received the largest percentage of 76% out of a total of 95 incidents, followed by the incidents under trial with 14 %, then the incidents that were not investigated came with a score of 9 %, and finally the facts It was judged last by the 1% ratio of total facts.

The report also revealed that Cairo governorate had the largest share of corruption incidents during the month of April 2016, with 23 incidents of corruption, followed by Giza governorate with 8 incidents, followed by Qalyubia and Gharbia governorates with 7 incidents for each of them.
