Within the framework of the “Corruption Status Book” series, “Partners for Transparency” PFT continues to issue monthly reports to monitor and follow up incidents of corruption, and here is the twelfth report issued by the institution, as it focuses on monitoring and analyzing legislative and procedural developments related to combating corruption, as well as counting the facts that It was covered by various media during the month of June 2016.
The month of June witnessed a televised advertising campaign to raise awareness of the dangers of corruption aimed at modifying the behavior and values of citizens to combat wasta, favoritism, and bureaucratic procedures of officials in government ministries, and there were reports that this campaign was funded by international organizations and was implemented by the Administrative Control Authority and was broadcast by Egyptian channels for free without being paid. Legislative and procedural developments to combat corruption during June 2016:

Second: Distribution of corruption incidents according to the position of the case:
The previous data indicate that the incidents under investigation came first among corruption incidents during June 2016, as they received the largest percentage of 67% out of a total of 83 incidents, followed by the incidents under trial with 17 %, then the incidents that were not investigated came with a score of 11 %, and finally came the facts. The previous data indicate that Cairo governorate got the largest share of corruption incidents during the month of June 2016 due to the geographical distribution of 24 corruption incidents, followed by Giza governorate with 16 incidents of corruption, followed by Qalyubia governorate with 7 incidents, then Alexandria governorate with 6 incidents.
