The coalition of the joint international local mission failed

The formed committee convened after the end of the conference called for by the local international mission, last week, which was aimed at forming an alliance between Egyptian organizations during the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Following its meeting, the committee released a statement in which it said: “Within the framework of the generous call made by the local international mission to follow up on the Egyptian parliamentary elections to coordinate the election follow-up coalitions, during which the mission called for a meeting at the Safir Hotel on September 12, 2015 in which more than 20 organizations and alliances participated, and was formed following it A committee of experts to receive proposals from alliances and organizations on the basis of which the coalition document is prepared.
The committee added in its statement: “The Expert Coordination Committee in charge of receiving proposals and preparing the coalition document, we appreciate and value this invitation as a step on the road to uniting the efforts of the organizations concerned with the follow-up to the 2015 Parliament elections, and we regret to announce to the Egyptian public that the committee has not received any proposal from any of the Alliances or organizations other than those provided by the Dialogue Forum coalition, and others from the Partners for Transparency Foundation.
The statement continued: “Therefore, the members of the committee who signed this statement thank the joint local international mission for its valuable initiative, and announce the termination of their membership in the committee because of the futility of coordination between the mission on one side and organizations that are not qualified for this coordination on the other side, with their full commitment to any steps taken by coordination. On its part, the mission unilaterally.
The signatories are: Saeed Abdel-Hafez, a member of the Coordination Committee between Alliances and Organizations involved in the Election Follow-up Process, Shady Abdel-Karim, a Member of the Coordination Committee between Alliances and Organizations Involved in the Election Follow-up Process, and Walaa Jad Al-Karim: Member of the Coordination Committee between Alliances and Organizations Engaged in the Election Follow-up Process.
