"Partners for Transparency": 138 corruption incidents in January ... and "Health" occupies first place

The Partners for Transparency Foundation monitored 138 corruption incidents that were uncovered last January, in which the Ministry of Health won the largest share of corruption incidents, with a score of 23 corruption incidents, followed by the local sector with 20 corruption incidents, followed by the Ministry of Supply with 18 corruption incidents. The Ministries of Education and Agriculture with 9 incidents of corruption each, and the Ministry of Interior came in last place with 6 incidents of corruption.

The report, issued on Monday, confirmed that it came within the framework of the "Corruption Status Book" series, which included monitoring and analyzing corruption facts last month, in conjunction with the issuance of the "annual corruption perceptions" report by Transparency International, which showed Egypt's ranking from 94th in the world to 88th in the world. In addition to what the month witnessed in the statements of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, which included assurances of the state's determination to fight corruption.

The report stated that last month witnessed the report of the fact-finding committee formed by the President of the Republic to verify the correctness of the figures contained in the statements of Counselor Hisham Geneina, which he made last December, in which he estimated the cost of corruption in Egypt at 600 billion pounds in four years, as the committee concluded in its report to The inaccuracy of the facts and referred the whole matter to the House of Representatives as the supervisory authority, and the matter has not been settled yet.

The report indicated that the facts under investigation came first among the corruption incidents during January 2016 with a score of 89 incidents, followed by the incidents that were not investigated with a score of 24 incidents. After that, the facts under trial come with a total of 22 incidents, and finally, the facts that were judged in Rank last in January with only 3 facts
