"Partners for Transparency" issues its 9th report on the extent of corruption ... 76 incidents in March ... Parliament refused to establish an Integrity and Transparency Committee

Partners for Transparency Association (PFT) issued its ninth report, within the framework of the “Corruption Status Book” series, which included monitoring and analysis of corruption facts in March 2016 within ministries and state institutions.

The Foundation monitored 76 incidents of corruption during the month of March, and the dismissal of the President of the Republic, Counselor Hisham Geneina, head of the Central Auditing Organization, against the background of what was raised by a report issued by the agency related to the cost of corruption, and a counter report prepared by a special committee in which it proved the inaccuracy of the agency’s report, which sparked a wave Severe controversy in the Egyptian street.

Refusal of the Integrity and Transparency Committee
The report revealed that the month of March 2016 witnessed Parliament’s refusal to introduce a “integrity and transparency” committee, as well as several statements and meetings of administrative committees to combat corruption without influencing legislation or decisions.
The most corrupt supply

With regard to the statistical distribution of corruption incidents among the various ministries and sectors, the Ministry of Supply won the largest share of corruption incidents during the month of March 2016, with 16 corruption incidents out of a total of 76 incidents, followed by each of the localities sector, with 7 incidents, agriculture and education, with 6 incidents each.
The facts are under investigation
As for the judicial position of the facts, the facts under investigation came first among the corruption incidents during the month of March 2016, as it received the largest percentage of 59 %, while both the incidents under trial and the incidents that were not investigated were equal to 16%, and finally, the verdicts come first. Ranked last with 9% percentage of total incidents.

The report also revealed that Cairo governorate had the largest share of corruption incidents during the month of March 2016, with 24 incidents of corruption, followed by Giza governorate with 7 incidents.Vito
