"Partners for Transparency" monitors election candidates' propaganda on social media

Dr. Walaa Jad Al-Karim, director of the Partners for Transparency Foundation, said that the election propaganda through Facebook and Twitter will play an important role in the conduct of the electoral process, especially since most of the candidates have an account and blogs on these sites.

Jad al-Karim added to "Vito" that electoral advertising on social media will witness great popularity due to its lower cost than the conventional electoral advertising, in addition to that it targets the critical mass that has the greatest impact on the conduct of the electoral process, and the completion of the last term of the Road Map.

"Jad Al-Karim" added that a number of civil society organizations concerned with following up on the upcoming parliamentary elections will monitor the performance of the candidates through these sites to monitor any violations or abuses, whether they are electoral rumors, which makes it difficult for the Supreme Elections Council to limit it, and then ultimately raise it to the committee.
