The Foundation revealed in a report it obtained, the Capital Gate, a copy of it, today, Tuesday, that the parliament’s role in developing or introducing anti-corruption legislation has not yet been demonstrated. Parliament has consumed the past months since its inauguration in approving its regulations and forming its internal committees, and discussing the government's statement, while statements are still The officials, led by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, include clear signals to combat corruption, according to the statement.

The report added: “With regard to the statistical distribution of corruption incidents among the various ministries and sectors, the Ministry of Supply received the largest share of corruption incidents during the month of April 2016, with 13 corruption incidents out of a total of 95 incidents, followed by each of the Ministry of Interior with 10 incidents, most of them involving police secretaries. Then, agriculture with 10 facts, most notably the ruling in the case of bribery of the Ministry of Agriculture, which is the case in which the judge in charge of ruling criticized the articles of the penal code that exempt the briber and the mediator from punishment.

The report indicated that, regarding the judicial position of corruption incidents, the incidents under investigation came first among corruption incidents in April 2016, as it received the largest percentage of 76% out of a total of 95 incidents, followed by the cases under trial with 14 %, then the facts that were not investigated came with a score. 9 %, and finally the judged cases ranked last with 1% of total incidents.

The report also revealed that Cairo governorate had the largest share of corruption incidents during the month of April 2016, with 23 incidents of corruption, followed by Giza governorate with 8 incidents, followed by Qalyubia and Gharbia governorates with 7 incidents for each of them.
