Report: 95 incidents of corruption in "April" ... Supply and the Interior are in the forefront

Partners for Transparency issued the tenth report, which included monitoring and analyzing incidents of corruption for the month of April. The Foundation monitored 95 incidents of corruption during the month, which were revealed by investigation authorities and various media outlets.

The report, which Al-Tahrir obtained a copy of, said today, Tuesday: “Parliament’s role in developing or introducing anti-corruption legislation has not yet been demonstrated. Parliament has consumed the past months since its inception in approving its regulations, forming its internal committees, and discussing the government’s statement, while officials’ statements are still being made. On top of them, the President of the Republic includes clear anti-corruption signals.

According to the report, the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade had the largest share of corruption incidents during April, with 13 incidents of corruption out of a total of 95 incidents, then the Ministry of Interior with ten incidents, most of them involving police secretaries, then the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation with ten incidents, most notably the ruling in the case. “Bribery of the Ministry of Agriculture,” which is the case in which the judge in charge of ruling criticized the articles of the penal code that exempt the briber and the mediator from punishment, according to the text of the report.

As for the judicial position, the incidents under investigation came first among the corruption incidents during April, as it received the largest percentage of 76% out of a total of 95 incidents, followed by the incidents under trial with a score of 14%, then the incidents that were not investigated with a score of 9%, and finally the incidents that took place Judging it ranked last by 1% of total facts.

The report showed that Cairo governorate had the largest share of corruption incidents during the month of "April", with 23 incidents of corruption, then Giza governorate with eight incidents, then Qalyubia and Al Gharbia with seven incidents for each of them.
