The organization “Partners for Transparency” delivered an oral intervention during the discussion of the African Committee on the Prevention of Torture’s report, condemning the Rapid Support Forces for committing grave violations amounting to crimes against humanity. In Ethiopia as well, torture remains a tool of repression used against dissenting voices.

The organization “Partners for Transparency” called on the African Commission to closely monitor the situation in Sudan and Ethiopia, and urged the governments of both countries to immediately stop torture.
