Partners for Transparency held a side event on “The Impact of Misinformation on Freedom of Expression and Opinion” at the UN Human Rights Council headquarters, on the sidelines of the Council’s 59th session. Speakers emphasized the impact of misinformation on regional stability in the Euro-Mediterranean region, particularly concerning the issue of migrants and refugees, and recommended strengthening regional cooperation and data sharing in this regard.
