Maat participated in the Citizen Journalism Academy for Youth, held in Sofia - Bulgaria, with the participation of 35 young men and women from seven different countries (Italy - Bulgaria - Greece - Albania - Egypt - Tunisia - Jordan).
Citizen Journalism Academy for Youth aims to raise the level of media knowledge and skills in an international context and to prepare a new generation of young leaders who have the ability to deal with citizen journalism, critical and analytical thinking, as well as the ability to create content for various media outlets to improve communication skills, in addition to enhancing intercultural competencies and improving skills such as teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, and participation in decision-making.
It is worth noting that the Citizen Journalism Academy project, funded by the EU's programme Erasmus+, aims to enhance citizen journalism and media education as a means of effective participation in society and enhance the leadership and organizational skills of participants
