Dr. Essam Fayed, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, issued a ministerial decree bearing No. 1729 for the year 2016, assigning Engineer Ayman Kamal El-Maadawy to work as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Agricultural Authority, succeeding Dr.

El-Madawy had been charged in several corruption cases, and was imprisoned in connection with the investigations that were conducted with him, regarding his facilitation of the unlawful seizure of 38 acres of the island of the land of Al-Bayadiyah in Luxor in favor of the Crocodile Company owned by businessman Hussein Salem and his son Khaled and intentionally damaging public money and the interests of the Authority Public for agricultural development projects and profit from work from his job.

And Ayman El-Madawy was previously dismissed, by the former minister, Adel El-Beltagy, from his position as head of the land reclamation sector at the Ministry of Agriculture, after multiple requests from the regulatory authorities to transfer him from more than one place and more than once.

This appointment came after the overthrow of the former head of the Egyptian Agricultural Authority, Dr. Musaad Qutb, following the successes and abuses published by Al-Ahram Al-Zeraei on the Al-Zahra Horse Station several days ago, during which accusations were exchanged between him and the station manager, Dr. Dean Tariq Wafa, which led to the issuance of Khaled Al-Hassani, Director of the Technical Office of the Minister of Agriculture, decided to suspend the administration of the station's director.
