Corruption in Egypt has reached frightening numbers, and has taken different forms and levels, according to a study prepared by the Partners for Transparency Foundation in early September.
The study recorded 1,102 incidents of corruption in state institutions, between July 2015 and June 2016, with three cases of corruption per day, while court rulings were issued only in 57 cases.
The foundation estimated the corruption bill at more than one trillion pounds from 2000 until now.
