Dr. Hisham Arafat, Minister of Transport, said that there is a sovereign body that reviews the fees decisions, Resolution 800 and Resolution 448, and within a week a final report regarding the two decisions will be issued, and an anti-corruption committee will be formed in the ministry in cooperation with supervisory authorities.

Arafat added that a full discussion of the development of the maritime transport sector is underway, noting that negotiations are underway with the Chinese side to end the project of Berth 55 in Alexandria Port and a number of marine projects, stressing that the maritime sector is a top priority for the ministry.
