As part of the celebration of the members of the Anna Lindh Network in Egypt in cooperation with the Homeland Supporting Development Foundation, the members of the Anna Lindh Network in Egypt in cooperation with the Homeland Supporting Development Foundation and the Egyptian Enterprise Center for Policy and Strategic Studies celebrated the International Day of Peace on September 22, and a workshop was organized on social peace in Egypt at the headquarters of the Anna Lindh Network in Alexandria.
During the workshop, several important points were discussed, most notably enhancing the role of technical centers, research centers, and civil society institutions in promoting social peace, and the necessity of adhering to social solidarity and cooperation to confront external dangers, as one of the basic pillars on which civilized societies are based.
The importance of dialogue was also noted as a fundamental pillar for promoting social peace and preventing hate speech, as dialogue is an integral part of any strategy to promote social peace and reduce hate speech. Participants stressed the need to proactively deal with hate speech and not wait for the problem to worsen, but rather to develop a plan and anticipate the future to determine the extent of the worsening of this problem so that it can be easily solved.
