The Egyptian Network of the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for Dialogue between Cultures organized an awareness session at the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for Dialogue between Cultures and the Egyptian National Network in Cairo. This session aims to gain more knowledge about the Anna Lindh Foundation and the Egyptian Network and the activities carried out by the Anna Lindh Foundation. The Egyptian Network, not members of the Egyptian Network, the Egyptian press and a number of ministries, have expressed their gratitude for the presence of the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for Dialogue between Cultures in Egypt.
Ayman Aqil, the former head of the Egyptian network of the Anna Lindh Foundation and the president of the Maat Foundation, confirmed that the Anna Lindh Foundation is concerned with strengthening relations between the countries of the Mediterranean basin, as he explained during his speech that it is the oldest institution for dialogue of cultures in the Mediterranean countries, and it includes 42 countries of the sea basin. The Mediterranean, he also stressed the role of the institution in bringing together the largest number of civil work institutions in the Mediterranean region
Maged Hosni, “member of the Board of Trustees of the Egyptian Network” and the head of the Watan Supportive Ali Foundation, indicated that the Egyptian Network, as the organizational framework for the institution in Egypt to strengthen the Euro-Mediterranean partnership at the national and international levels, encourages cooperation and exchange of information among members within the framework of compliance with national laws.
Ahmed Shabib, “a member of the Board of Trustees of the Egyptian Network” and head of the Arab Center for Human Rights, explained the conditions for joining the Egyptian Network of the Anna Lindh Foundation, according to the internal regulations.
This session resulted in networking between the members of the Egyptian Network, a number of non-member civil society organizations, and a number of ministries. The attendees presented a number of important activities and initiatives that they are implementing.
