Rakaa for Transparency: The disclosure of 94 incidents of corruption last March

Partners for Transparency issued its 21st report in the Corruption Status Book series, which dealt with monitoring and analysis of legislative and procedural developments related to combating corruption, as well as counting the facts that were revealed during last March, and classifying them sectorally, geographically and judicially.
In its report issued today, Tuesday, the Foundation clarified that a number of events and activities were held in some academic institutions, ministries and government departments in the context of awareness and education related to combating corruption, and there were frequent statements by some officials related to the nature of the general trend and political performance related to combating corruption and wasting public money. Parliamentarian Representative Anisa Hassouna stated that the proposed law will soon be discussed by her to establish a coordinating body to combat corruption.
The report indicated that the month of March witnessed 94 incidents of corruption that were revealed through the media and the concerned bodies, and for the first time the incidents of corruption in the Ministry of Supply witnessed a relatively retreat from last month (16 incidents in March compared to 17 in February), despite the ministry's continued occupation of the top sectors. In terms of the number of incidents, while the general sectoral and geographic arrangement of corruption incidents remains in line with what has prevailed since the beginning of the Corruption Status Book series, as the supply sectors, localities, and health are still the most suffering from corruption and wasting public money, and the governorates of Cairo and Giza It is the one who possesses the largest percentage of these facts.
The report revealed that the incidents under investigation came first among corruption incidents in March, as the largest percentage was recorded at 74% out of a total of 94 incidents, followed by the incidents under trial with a score of 12%, then came the facts that were judged by 9 %, and the incidents that were not investigated It is ranked last with a percentage of 5% of total incidents, which means that 95% of incidents are in the process of litigation.
