Report: 138 cases of corruption during January ... and "Health" in the lead

Today, Monday, Partners for Transparency issued the seventh report that included monitoring and analyzing corruption incidents in January 2016, in conjunction with the issuance of the annual corruption perceptions report of Transparency International, which showed Egypt's ranking from 94th in the world to 88th in the world, as well as On the statements of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi last month, which included assurances of the state's determination to fight corruption.
According to the report, last January witnessed the issuance of the report of the fact-finding committee formed by the President of the Republic to verify the correctness of the figures contained in the statements of Counselor Hisham Geneina, head of the Central Auditing Organization, which he launched in December 2015, in which he estimated the cost of corruption in Egypt at 600 billion pounds in four years. The committee concluded in its report that the facts were inaccurate and referred the whole matter to the House of Representatives as the supervisory authority, and the matter is still not settled yet.
The report monitored 138 corruption incidents that were uncovered in January 2016, as the Ministry of Health obtained the largest share of corruption incidents, with a score of 23 corruption incidents, then the local sector with 20 corruption incidents, then the Ministry of Supply with 18 corruption incidents, followed by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry Agriculture with nine incidents of corruption each, then the Ministry of Interior with six incidents.
With regard to the judicial position of corruption incidents, the report indicated that the facts under investigation came first among the corruption incidents during the month of January 2016 with a score of 89 incidents, followed by the facts that were not investigated with a score of 24 incidents, after that came the facts under trial with 22 incidents, and finally The facts that were adjudicated came last in January, with only three incidents.
