The administrative prosecution refers 5 fish wealth officials to trial for financial violations

In Case 51 of the 59th Supreme Judicial Year, the Administrative Prosecution decided to refer 5 officials of the Public Authority for Fish Resources Development, to trial, for committing grave financial and administrative violations that resulted in damaging public money.

The indictment report confirmed that all the defendants did not perform the work assigned to them accurately, and violated the financial rules and instructions stipulated in the laws and regulations governing their jobs, and committed anything that would prejudice the financial interest of the state.

Investigations revealed that Mohamed Shaaban Abdel Hamid, the official in charge of the primary and final letters of guarantee at the Public Authority for Fish Resources Development, neglected to take the procedures for renewing the final letters of guarantee and the advance payment in the legal dates, which resulted in the termination of these letters, and he forged correspondence issued to the leaders of the authority with the intention of concealing violations Attributed to him.

According to the case papers, Mona Abd Al-Hamid Alawi and Amr Abdel-Baqi Shehata, account managers at the authority, were delegated by the Ministry of Finance, and neglected to supervise and follow up on the actions of the first accused, which led to his committing the offenses attributed to him for a period of 5 years.

It was found that Zirve Ibrahim Fanous, Director General of Utilities, and Ahmed Ali Abdel-Majid, Accountant in the Budget and Accounts at the Authority, neglected the work of the annual inventory committees on the custody of letters of guarantee for a period of 3 years, which led to the continuation of the first accused in committing the incidents attributed to him.

The investigations ended with the defendants being referred to trial, and the administrative prosecution asked the president of the court to determine the nearest session to hear the case.
