The Partners for Transparency Foundation, as the president of the Egyptian Network of the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for the Dialogue between Cultures, organized an online information session on awareness of the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for Intercultural Dialogue and the Egyptian National Network. In his speech, Ambassador Nabil Al-Sharif, “Executive Director of the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for the Dialogue between Cultures,” affirmed that the Anna Lindh Foundation is concerned with strengthening relations between the countries of the Mediterranean basin. He also explained during his speech that it is the oldest institution for intercultural dialogue in the countries of the Mediterranean basin, and it includes 42 countries. The Mediterranean Basin, he also stressed the Foundation’s role in bringing together the largest number of civil work institutions in the Mediterranean region, as it includes more than 4,000 civil society organizations. The institution also represents a “network of networks” that includes civil society organizations active in the field of promoting dialogue between Cultures and respect for diversity in the region. Within the framework of its intercultural work, the Anna Lindh Foundation pays special attention to four main elements: research and promotional work between cultures, empowerment of youth, promotion of intercultural learning, creation of links between Euro-Mediterranean civil society bodies and the consolidation of ties between them, and finally His speech expressed his gratitude for the presence of the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for the Dialogue between Cultures in Egypt.

Professor Ayman Aqil, “Former President of the Egyptian Network” and President of the Maat Foundation for Peace, Development and Self-Rights, stressed the importance of the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for Intercultural Dialogue to support and promote an idea, as he explained during his speech the role of the Egyptian Network in building bridges of dialogue with other networks In the north and south of the Mediterranean, he talked about the challenges that the Anna Lindh Foundation had faced since its inception, and at the end of his speech, Aqil emphasized that after 15 years have passed since the launch of the Anna Lindh Foundation, the lofty goals on which Anna Lindh was founded have not yet been achieved.

Majed Adeeb, “Chairman of the Network’s Former Facilitation Committee” and President of the National Center for Human Rights, also presented the procedures that were taken during the membership update and the conduct of the electoral process to select the head of the Egyptian Network and its Board of Trustees, confirming the cooperation that took place between the Egyptian Foreign Ministry and the Anna Lindh Foundation for intercultural dialogue.
