Public funds in Sohag seize the headmaster of the Azhari Institute, who seized 61 thousand pounds

The officers of the General Administration for Combating Public Funds Crimes managed to arrest the principal of the Al-Qaraan Elementary Institute in Gerga, for seizing by embezzlement an amount of 161 thousand pounds from the tuition fees proceeds from the institute.

The incident is due to the directives of the Minister of Interior, Major General Magdy Abdel Ghaffar, and the directorate’s action plan to combat crimes of public funds, especially the crimes of job corruption and the seizure of public funds. The Gerga police station received a report written by the General Administration of the General Funds Investigation Department, which included the establishment of “Ahmed. P. H ”59 years old, oversaw the Qaraan Elementary Institute in Gerga, embezzling a sum of“ 161,000 ”one hundred and sixty-one thousand pounds, during the period from 2011 to 2017, from the tuition fee receipts at the institute [entrusted] to himself.

The accused was arrested, and facing him, he confessed to committing the incident, and expressed his desire to pay the amount in installments. The Criminal Investigation Department was tasked with investigating the incident. Record No. 1073 of the administration of the Gerga Center for the year 2017 was released, and the presentation is underway to the Public Prosecution.
