As part of the \u201cCorruption Casebook\u201d series, Partners for Transparency continues to issue monthly reports to monitor and follow up on corruption incidents in Egypt, which focus on monitoring and analyzing legislative and procedural developments related to combating corruption, as well as listing the facts that were revealed during July 2022. and categorizing them sectorally and geographically, with the aim of identifying the sectors that witness the most corruption incidents, as well as the governorates in which these incidents are most concentrated.<\/p>\n

According to the Foundation's report, July recorded a slight increase in the number of corruption incidents, as 180 incidents were recorded, compared to 174 corruption incidents recorded last June, which represents a 3% increase in the corruption rate. 87 incidents of corruption were recorded, with a rate of 48% of the total incidents witnessed in July, followed closely by the agriculture sector and land encroachments with 55 incidents and 30% of the total incidents under study, and the health sector came in third place with 20 corruption incidents and 11% of the total incidents of corruption.<\/p>\n
