\u00a0In the context of its continuing publication of the Corruption Status Book series of reports, Partners for Transparency issued the third quarterly report for 2018, covering the period from July 1 to the end of October 2018, and the report deals with procedural, legislative and political developments related to combating corruption, as well as monitoring and classifying And analyze the incidents of corruption that were revealed during this period.
\nThe third quarter of 2018 did not witness any legislative activity due to its coincidence with the parliamentary recess that ended in October 2018, and then there was no significant change in the legislative environment during this period, while statements by some representatives related to incidents of corruption were frequent, as the Administrative Control Authority witnessed A presidential decree appointing Major General Sherif Seif El-Din as head of administrative control to succeed Major General Mohamed Irfan, who assumed the position of the president's advisor for governance, and the change process was surprising to the concerned circles in Egypt.
\nAlso, during the third quarter of 2018, the Administrative Control Authority launched a training system in the online distance learning system for training in disseminating the values of integrity and transparency in the e-learning system, in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. The administrative prosecution also revealed that new details about the wheat corruption incident have been lost, including that the volume of waste in public money related to the case amounted to 76 million pounds.
\nStatistically, the third quarter of 2018 recorded \u201c73\u201d incidents of corruption, as the catering sector recorded 32 % out of the total number of incidents, while the health sector scored 11%, and the agriculture, youth and sports sectors scored 5% for each of them.
\nAs for the judicial distribution of corruption incidents during the third quarter of 2018, 72% incidents under investigation were recorded from the total, followed by the incidents still under trial with a 12% rate, then corruption incidents that were judged by 10%, and finally the incidents that were not investigated by 6% .
\nGeography; Cairo governorate continues to witness the largest number of corruption incidents during the third quarter of 2018, with a percentage of 33% out of the total number of incidents, then each of the governorates of Giza and Beheira by 8% for each, then Qaliubiya and Fayoum with a percentage of 6% for each of them, and finally Sharkia, Gharbia, Sohag, Port Said, Assiut Minya, Luxor, and New Valley; Where all of them experienced 1% of total incidents.
