Imprisonment of 4 officials who seized a quarter of a billion pounds from the state budget

The Supreme Public Funds Prosecution, headed by Counselor Ahmed Al-Bahrawi, ordered the imprisonment of 4 officials in the Ministries of Education, Finance and Endowments, for embezzling a quarter of a billion pounds from the state's public treasury for 15 days pending investigations.

The General Administration of Public Funds Investigation had managed to arrest 4 officials in the Ministries of Education, Finance, and Endowments, to add to two defendants who were previously arrested in the same case. She was working as a director of the accounting unit in the Education Directorate on October 6 as a representative of the Ministry of Finance in the directorate and the wife of the former Director General of the State Treasury, for forming a gang formation that embezzled nearly a quarter billion pounds.

The General Administration of Public Funds Investigation, headed by Major General Essam Saad, received a communication from the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance for the Financial Inspection, accusing a number of officials in the 6th of October Educational Administration of embezzling a quarter of a billion pounds in cash from the state's general budget within two years.
