Human rights report: 76 incidents of corruption in March and “catering” on top of the sectors

Foundation released Partners for transparency (PFT), its monthly report from the series “Corruption Status Book Which included monitoring and analyzing incidents of corruption last March.

In its report, the Foundation monitored 76 incidents of corruption during the month, and the president of the republic dismissed the advisor Hisham Genena The head of the Central Auditing Organization against the background of what a report issued by the agency related to the cost of corruption, and a counter-report prepared by a special committee, in which it proved the inaccuracy of the agency’s report, which sparked a strong wave of controversy in the Egyptian street.

The report revealed that the month of March 2016 witnessed the parliament’s refusal to introduce a “integrity and transparency” committee, and the month witnessed several statements and meetings of administrative committees to combat corruption without influencing legislation or decisions.

With regard to the statistical distribution of facts Corruption On the various ministries and sectors, the Ministry of Supply achieved the largest share of corruption incidents during the month of March 2016, with 16 incidents of corruption out of a total of 76 incidents, followed by each of the localities sector, with 7 incidents, agriculture and education, with 6 incidents each.

As for the judicial position of the facts, the facts under investigation came first among the corruption incidents during the month of March 2016, where they received the largest percentage of 59 %, while both the incidents under trial and the incidents that were not investigated were equal by 16%, and finally, the facts that were judged in Ranks last with %9 ratio of total facts.

The report also revealed that Cairo governorate had the largest share of corruption incidents during the month of March 2016, with 24 incidents of corruption, followed by Giza governorate with 7 incidents.Dot Egypt
